I won something...??

It was a couple of weeks ago when I was bored at work and I joined the online GSC contest. Surprisingly, over the weekend, I just found out I won one of the merchandise...Not too bad. It's a SALT Lenticular Notebook...this "notebook" here is those you-know...paper with hardcover thingy NOT the laptop kinda notebook.



Now...what to do with this notebook??

How do you deal with sudden death annoucements?

I got a call this morning saying that my cousin had passed away...it was 7am and I just got up from bed, I thought I was dreaming...apparently not.

So how do you deal with sudden death news of relatives? I used to have my parents to get the news directly, and I'll be the one at the side to receive the news later...you know, having being prepared that it's some bad news; since the facial expression of your parents change as they speak on the phone. And it's me breaking the bad news along to other relatives. This is the first..and frankly, I still don't know how to feel right now. Sigh...


Hmm..what was planned to be a good relaxing weekend has turned gloomy suddenly....

Desserts to lighten up your day

Well well..had an evening with the girls yesterday and then CJ suggested this place in SS15 called Snowflakes. Quite nice desserts :) This shop is located on the first floor somewhere in the stretch of shops opposite Asia Cafe. It was a Thursday night and it was fully packed with young college kids. Once you have queued for an average of 5-7 minutes, it will be your turn to order. After ordering you will get this beeping UFO ( more like a pager to indicate that food is ready for pick up)

So as you can see, we ordered the Snowflake Best Seller, Memorable Series: Japan! Combo and Winter Stringz. Price is considered as reasonable with the portion that they served.

This was the Snowflake Best Seller. They have what they call Taroballs. It's of chewy texture which kinda goes well with the whole combination. The white is milk and black is grass jelly. Bottom layer is ice with syrup.


This was JAPAN! Combo. Not too sure why they call it that. Green thing is green tea chewy taroball. White is soya bean flavoured ice...I kinda like this one too. Probably the chewy is not that great compared to the best seller... :P

Overall, this is quite a good place to go for desserts. Down point, very small space, places limited. So if you have the patience, it will take about 10-15 minutes of waiting time. Not too bad to try it out on a hot day ;) They also serve hot desserts....yet to try that...

Char Siew

Read about Char Siew today from Malaysia Finance Blog and thought of the char siew place I used to go. Been a while since I last went (probably a year ago?) This place hasn't change, probably price has increased a little but still reasonable :)

Nice presentation with just the right balance of fat and meat...more on the fats actually but that's the best part~ Barbequed to perfection ~

Roasted pork; frankly, I sorta think that the Canton-i ones are better....

Well, other things they have are roasted pork, roasted duck, roasted chicken, chinese style stuffed sausage and occasionally roasted goose.They also serve wan tan mee and sui kow(dumplings) and also the taugeh and vege. Opens from 7 till 4pm( But there's no say on when the closing is exactly since according to the boss, they will close when their ingredients have finished for the day) This shop was featured in one of Astro's programme before and some other newspaper article.

Tauhu Telur

Hmm, anyone know where I can get a good tauhu telur? I had this in Puchong. A Restaurant called Nyonya something... Looks good eh? But then, taste wise a bit disappointing.



Besides that, we also order the sambal petai...which I think could have been better. Overall, food wise, this is a so-so for me. Close to forgettable.



Been a while since I went Puchong and it has EVOLVED~! Can't remember when Puchong became like a food haven....Will explore more come the weekends~~! Yeay, new place for the taste buds~!

RF for slimming?

This is cool...all this while, all I knew about RF was for work... today was a good day where I learned that RF is damn effective for slimming and body shaping... And the guys go about and complaint about loosing sperm counts! :p

With the advancement in technology, I think I kinda left out that beauty treatment centers too are technology driven. With RF + Ultrasound treatments for slimming and facials, they have now grown the business and introducing packages with prices that will blow your mind off~! A facial treatment with RF and stuff cost like RM200+ per session. Seriously, gone are the days that facials go for RM5o per session... and ladies will pay more knowing that these new treatments are better than before and gives more effect for a lesser time frame. All the good~

Makes me wonder, there's always the bad for everything, what is it for this? They claim RF is perfectly safe...something like laser to your eyes is also perfectly safe... can't find any side effects, just will need to experience it to know?! If you had done it, please share with me.

Angry, Tired, Fed Up

Probably everyone will come to this stage at one point of their life..and as usual, i'll only bitch about work. Everyone seems to be HAPPY when they leave here, maybe I should too.
The envious looks I tend to throw those people who have moved on.... I should be in that state too; being given the stare and feeling great about what's going to happen~ and I'm more convinced now that I should be doing just that.

Can't wait till the day I type that last email thingy...been getting a lot of those, bet I can come up with a better closing ... mind you, it has been 5 years~! I have already prepared my template and goodbye speech.

Well, till that happens..I'm gonna sit and look for a job... Clueless of what I'm going to do, but let's hope there's news of something SOON!!

A wedding to remember..

Congratulations again Beverly and Hadi. It was indeed a wedding to remember. Thanks for the hospitality and I'm very glad to be part of the celebration~!

So this has become one of the grandest wedding that I've ever attended. The romantic setting, the closeness of the family bond, the touching speech, the lovely wedding dresses, the beautiful and handsome mempelai~ :) Food was excellent too!

My fan...My fan~~~

Sigh, it has become a pattern everytime that my family leaves, one electrical appliance/item will just stopped working...

This time around is the living hall fan~ It just stopped.....not moving, probably the motor has died, overused over the past 5 days. Thank God it rained, I'd be crying over the heat if it didn't.

Last year the fridge died, then the TV... now the fan. I'll need to wait for daddy to return to get it fixed. In the mean time, I'll need to depend on the good ol' table fan.

CNY CNY..Celebrations of spring~

Hullo~~ Happy CNY to everyone!

Been a tiring CNY since day 1. Now that it's day 3, everything is settling down and the relatives visiting will also come to a halt ... considering my bro is returning tmr, and none of them are that interested to visit me here when my mommy n daddy is not around, so, it's finally time for FRIENDS and probably some..erm...money-making activities!

Not too bad of a celebration this year...kinda hectic with the whole visiting schedule, I might give Sg a miss this year too. It's going to be dinner on the 18th, 19th and visiting on the 19th, 20th, and 21st. So, pretty packed up schedule too~

Happy also la..this year I didn;t get any questions that's related to marriage ... :P Well, there was one who was asking me bout being attached. My dad was making some comments this year. First was asking me to find one and not being too picky...Next was him suggesting that I have my wedding dinner at one particular restaurant that we had dimsum in. My mom was...SURPRISINGLY saying that it's not that big deal that I'm still single, hmmm...totally didn't expect that. Haha, guess she has given up on the whole idea that I would be married off after the long wait. :P

Can't wait for reunions and birthday meet-ups. Kura2 is at least turning...2 or 3..or 5. Lost track of time. So, enjoy the rest of the holidays! To those who needs to start work tmr, have a pleasant week ahead!

One of those days..

It was a sad and demotivating morning. Not sure why, probably it is one of those days that the question "Why am I still here?" kinda pops up in my head...

Working with a demotivated bunch is not helping..feeling the holidays is not helping either...why why why??? I just need a break la...

So, next week I'll be moving office, will be in the same area, but maybe the change of environment will help a little in boosting the morale ( crossing my fingers and just wishing ... )

Mun Leng's bachelorette meet-up at Funa Sushi, Klang... :) Initially we had this super great plan..but last minute got cancelled. Anyway, this is our first ji mui getting married. Next in line is Beverly and coming along should be Chin Jie. Whoever who wants to cut in in the middle is more than welcome. :)

A Note To A Dear Friend

Dear friend,

Don't know how to start this ... coz I know I haven't been a good friend to you. I apologize for not being there, I loath myself for drowning myself with work when such bad thing happened. I'm not really sure what went on till you've changed so drastically.When I first knew you back in uni, you're one of the cheerful ones; full of life and energy. I hate how things turned out over the year for you. You have drowned yourself away from your friends, you have kept yourself in misery.

I need to tell you that all your friends are concerned and worried. Therefore there is that few things you MUST do for yourself. First of all, GET UP! Pick yourself up. Find yourself again! Life should be worth living once again, face the new obstacles, get beaten down by new challenges and rise up again. Another thing that you NEED to do is get in touch with your friends. They are worried sick, and you're just too selfish to be thinking that you need space and time and phasing yourself out.

Friend, what's past shall be forgotten and it's time to move on. I really hope that you can wake from it and stand up tall again. I long for the day that the cheerful you to return.

2009 recap and 2010 wishes

Oh wow..been ages since I did any blogging since Facebook came along... and it's 2010. Still in January, still safe to wish everyone a Happy New Year~ May this year brings better increments, opportunities and also good luck to those who decides to tie the knot this year!

So what have I been up to? Simple summary would be...work, work and work. Traditionally, I should do some recap thingy...

Alrite...since Sept, I went on a holiday with the kura-kura gang to Krabi in Oct. Nice getaway, sun, sea...not so much on the beach though. 4 days 3 night that went by really quick. Nov, nothing much this year. Quiet year, didn't really celebrate my birthday, was working on my birthday. Had lunch with my colleagues, ended up in Zouk with my colleagues..and bump into another colleague! :P Then there was the routine standing up on the chair..this year i didn't fail to sing Twinkle Twinkle again! :P Then there were some dinners with friends too.. Oh ya..my baby niece, Jia Xuan, arrived, not sure I mentioned. Went down to Sg for her full moon. Baby Ahslynn is now all grown up! She's like 4 this year and she talks a lot. Baby Weng Kei is also getting very talkative at the age of 4. Weng Yan is currently in Primary 1. OMG~~Where did time fly...I didn't even see them crawl..and now they are all running around!!!! (which makes photoshoot a bit difficult)

Dec..was a month of weddings...Siew Theng and Cheng Khoon to start off the month. Oh ya...KF got married too on 27th Nov. All vegetarian dinner in KEC. ST & CK's was in Penang. Lovely wedding for the lovely couple. Did the ji mui thingy too...had a great time. Thanks ST & CK for the hospitality~! Lots of people got married.. Niam ( didn't get to attend ) too. 26th was YinHau's. Went all the way to Pahang for his luncheon. One happy man...frankly, one of the few "underdogs" to get married first :P But am happy for him! :)

Seems to be all good throughout the end of the year of 2009. Just some minor issues here and there. Overall...2009 was a learning year. I learn to take up some responsibilites, I learn to prioritize,I learn some lessons on the business...ok la..most the learning was at work. Socially...hmm..I've made some new friends. Potentials to marry off with? Nehh...still long way for that to happen. So what to look forward in 2010?

2010 would be a year of more tests...I need to make sure that I can endure till the end. Lots of new task at hand, new KPIs to meet that's work wise. Others..I guess it will be the usual catching up during weddings and gatherings. I foresee more wedding invitations coming in this year, despite the whole hoo-haa bout getting married during the Tiger year.

So...that's all I have to say...erm..type for now.

Moving on...

Hmm..breakup season seems to be sipping in...

If you're going through one...my advice is... move on. Lots of things waiting for you out there. Doesn't matter if you're 20 or even 40..life has too many things to be enjoyed. First thought that one must always keep in mind, this is not a matter of life or death. Definitely not a good reason to choose suicide when your lover leaves you. It'll be too stupid to pull that one off... I might not know the reasons for you guys to call things off; I definitely would not know how deep you guys feel for each other, but what I know is that there's definitely no reasons to hang on to something that has already lost meaning and feeling...everyone need to realize that there's many more things to look forward to~

You just need to get back on ur feet...give yourself time and TIME is the great healer of all! :) All the best to you my friends.. :)

Sad notes aside, would also take this opportunity to congratulate those that are getting married/registered this month! Cherish each other and enjoy the ride~~

Gosh...so fast and it's close to end of July. Crap..my deadlines are screwed!

Anyway, just waiting for my not-so-big break. I wonder how long it takes to get it all done and over with. :) Something to look forward to I guess.

I'm off to land down south this weekend. Wanna take a short trip to run away from all the insanity till i get back to it next week! Gosh~!

Tiring tiring

I'm doing this at 3am! Waiting for my data to be processed..which is taking forever~ I'm gonna need heavy dosage of caffeine later when I get to office. This is so sad~

Oh well, my big break seemed to have shoved aside. Sigh, why oh why?~! Still waiting for confirmation on whether it's possible to get it up a few notches. Taking up more responsibility in the office, it's getting heavier... and probably the right time to throw that letter. Tiring... I wonder how I can survive tmr with such hectic schedule...

Sigh..time to sleep I guess.... no need to worry bout stuff till daylight...Getting a bit sick..a bit worried. Hope everyone's doing fine.
