Moving on...

Hmm..it's another month down the road.Already the second month of the year. But this has been one of the longest month that I've felt. Every single day..the next day when I checked on the calendar, it's still a long way to finish off the month. And it's finally the 27th~!..28th...din get to finish this post yesterday. This year Feb has 29 days~! Yeay to everyone who can celebrate their birhtday tmr. :D

So everyone is well aware of the Edison Chen scandal recently. Some might have seen the pics and rumours has it that there's more to his collection than the ones distributed out. I agree with Jian when he said this kinda scandal if it were to happen in Hollywood, wouldn't go up to this kinda scale. Not really a fan of his, but as an actor, his retirement from the entertainment industry because of a scandal like this is not what he'll be proud about 50 years down the road. I can say it's too bad that he got unlucky with the leak of the pictures. Serves as a lesson to everyone out there to keep ur private intimate pictures..private! And the apology came a little too late when life of the women posing in the pics will never be the same anymore. Tarnished imaged, rocky marriages, failed marriage...things will never be the same. Edison said something in his public apology about giving time for everyone to heal, well, it's a helpless cry, but I think the society at large should give him that tiny bit of respect. Takes a lot for him to stand up and have a public apology for what he has caused. So let's all leave him alone and move on...

On another note, been a week where I've faced with immature ppl, mostly at work..Can't believe it can still happen, but still, have to deal with it. Ppl can act childish all they want, just that they don't involve me in their childish act. Not gonna elaborate..just thought that I think some attitude can be improved if people would think of the big picture rather than some small petty issues.

Enjoy your Feb 29th! That day don't come often...

The Age Factor

Hmm..was reading Jian's blog entry on how a French guy in his 40s trying to woo this 23 yr old girl. And he also said something about the girl not willing to accept him although he's shown some interest in her coz he already failed on the age part. A bit sad rite?

So how does this age factor influences one's decision to hook up? (can't think of a better word for now)

My view, in the early years...a girl should pick preferably a guy who's 0 or 2 years older. Not too far, coz can keep the gap close enough, they would have same topics and it'll be easier to get along. Looks is part of the factor.
My view, a couple of years ago, nearer to uni time ... it's still prefered the older guy who is probably 0-3 years apart. Again it could keep the age gap as close. Was still thinking about getting the same topics to talk about. What changed was probably at this time, looks should not be a factor rather one should look for someone with a good heart and personality.
My view, today...i'll still prefer that the girl to pick the older guy. Now with age difference from 0 up to 10-15 years apart. Once the social circle grows, you'll realise that there are more choices to pick. And that thinking bout not getting the same topics, had been scrapped off. Personality shall still be one of the factors, and maturity and financial stability would be plus points.

So what I'm trying to say is, I totally agree that age is a factor. Just how you view it, and go about it. For me, one view that has not changed would be choosing younger men. I do mind a guy with a younger age. Another colleague said it before too, men matures very much later than women. I still remember back in uni we did a tech-comm paper on "Older women and younger men relationships"... can't really remember what was our conclusion to that hypothesis. Need to dig out that report and read again. I think the stand was we do believe that it can work out coz of some reasons. Hmm..SC, Jian..u remember? Leave me some comments.

The guy who used 40k to propose..

This guy has made name for himself la. Front page, newspaper article hits...Still don't know his name, but everyone knows his bride-to-be's name coz it's on the billboard! Well, spending RM40000 on a billboard, some might say he's a romantic guy (most of the girls might be nodding heads), some might just say it's a foolish act( okay, big percentage of you ppl are nodding heads...) But come to think of it, I think he could've done something else that's equally memorable yet not that expensive...then again, considering he's quite rich at the first place, that amount of money is not that significant to him.

So,if you're a guy, can you think of the best way you want to propose to your lovely wife-to-be?

And if you're a girl, have you had any fantasies about how your bf would propose?

My time has not come to share this yet, so no sharing on this topic and if any of you want to leave comments, please do :D

CNY CNY

Hmm..another V-day coming. Another spent single. Don't misunderstand, not complaining or am i whining about being single. Just thought of putting that as a start to my post. So it's been a long week away. Can't get back to the working mood just yet. Another CNY it has been~! (Although only the 7th day, but feels like it's back to normal)

This year is spent in Klang again. So it's me getting all the CNY stuff, plus my dad doing all the cleaning and re-painting. It was not a complete family gathering again. Mom was kinda fed up by it and said next year we would all be in singapore for the reunion dinner. So that would be the plan next year. My nieces had grown taller and naughtier...but even more adorable than the last time i saw them. LOVE them to their bones! Of course, the occasionally "why" questions from them are quite hard to answer. So it was 6 days in klang..and the place I visited the most of JJ bukit tinggi~! The new cinema is opened and watched CJ7 there. Will catch another session of CJ7 at Sunway tonight. Jau b'day celebration. :) The show's okay.

So it's another CNY where I stuffed myself with a lot of food. Goodness, don't want to weigh myself also, but had to. Sigh, gained a bit more..and it's TIME TO LOOSE! So many more food to finish at home. Have to bring it to office already.

And that's about it on CNY this time. Short post. Hope can get my pictures frm the phone to be posted up.

Hidden secrets

So what can I say...it's good to know that Nyuet and Thean are going out. But took them 7 months to tell us? And Thean, too much of story-telling on his side la. Damn fake mannn...tak tahan. And Nyuet..I thot we were friends...not sure what happened? Not even a hint? Can understand about her feeling the insecurity frm the first few months of the relationship...but then...not a hint? Sigh..so disappointed in a way, but I am very happy for her after getting over the upset feeling that she kept me and the rest in the dark. I do hope for the best for these 2. I just hope my other closer friends don't just get married and inform me only when they are getting a kid.

Updates..

Well, was suppose to update on the PD trip with my uni friends last January, too lazy to work on the pics, probably backtrack later. If not, just to summarise, it was a wonderful trip to PD. Took a lot of pics, still waiting for those nice portraits if any. Made me feel like getting a SLR too.

Anyway, January was good. Time passes real quick. And I just realised I've been teaching for 5 months...going to the 6th, not sure there's continuation or not.My kids are too good that they have excel and moving on to the advance level. it's just a matter of time, when I get back from CNY hols, might be my last day dy. Sob..sob..no teaching for a while. gonna miss my kids!

And January also marks my new beginning. A new status at work...which is good. On the way to achieve my goals. I hope this year would be a better year in everything!

Of course, CNY is just around the corner, and I have Avril Lavigne playing in the background as I type. Can't seem to find the excitement and anticipation. I wonder where did all go. This time around, would be in Klang. Bought all the stuff needed and let's hope this CNY would be a much interesting one! :) So to all my Chinese friends who is reading this: HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR.
