To Singapore....if the bus don't drop you off halfway

I had a long weekend. Started off with a last minute decision to get on the bus from Klang to Singapore...which I regretted...IMMENSELY! Seriously, been travelling to and fro to Singapore for many many times...(kinda lost count la..) This last trip was one of the WORST ever travelling experience I've ever had! (Yea...this beats the RM35 for a school-bus ride from JB-Klang that I once had)

Bus company: S.E Ekspres Sdn Bhd
Bus plate number: BEE 1890

I will never forget this...BECAUSE THEY DROPPED US OFF AT LARKIN,JOHOR BAHRU AT 5AM! Can you imagine how frustrated I was... I paid RM35 for a bus ticket that says KLANG-SINGAPORE....and where did I end up? LARKIN! and the bus fella had the nerve to buy us public bus tickets that enters Singapore. We reached Larkin at 4 something in the morning. I knew there was gonna be a bus exchange as I heard them mentioned about it. Well, as long as you exchange a bus that brings me to my destination, I'm fine. After so many times, this exchanging bus is not new to me. As i said, as long as it gets me to my destination, I'm fine with it. This was too much. Public bus only operates at 5 plus. And entering Singapore using the causeway is a nightmare in the early hours of the day coz of the working ppl from JB travelling there, be it busses, motorbikes, or cars~! But we were all desperate to reach to the island...so we had to take the bus. Jam was terrible, the bus was stuck, so all of us came down and walked our way to the Customs office...that was the first ever time I needed to walked from the midst of town to the customs office which was like a 10 minutes walk...with all our bags~

It was gonna be a long wait for the Singapore-Johore Express(SJE) bus to reach. An uncle who travels often said it's best that we figured out another way to get to the island and then decide later when we're on the island. Well said. At that early hours of the day, my brain don't work too well with all the frustration. We took another public bus that was available then and off we go to the Woodlands checkpoint. After the checkpoint, I decided to wait for the SJE bus again. Met that uncle again and he related about how he was left at Larkin before. Seems like it's not the first time that this had happened. In the end, I got to my brother's place at 730am. That's like close to 8 hours travel ...and normally it should be 6 hours MAX!

SO this is really really bad. Since this is the ONLY company that's providing bus services to Singapore from Klang, I still think that this kinda attitude should not be acceptable lor. It only cost like RM28-RM30 for a ride to JB. The public bus ticket to Singapore was worth RM2.50. Which means WHAT THE HELL FOR I PAY RM35 FOR A RIDE THAT WILL STOP ME BEFORE MY DESTINATION? Ridiculous. Time wasting. It was a bus that was at least half filled with passengers. Very irresponsible for them to not informed of that earlier. I'm familiar with travelling to Singapore, what happens to those who are not? How do they inform their relatives/friends about the change of destination? FYI, the public bus stop and express bus stop are at two totally different places. I think people should know about this kinda bad bus service and I hope there's a new bus service in town for that route. This bus company does not respect the idea of punctuality too. I think it's time that a new service was introduced.

p/s: I'm not sure where I can channel this complaint to... If any of you would know, please inform me. I don't think there's a point of sending the complaint just to the management of the bus company, think it'll fall to deaf ears again!

ABCDEFG...

What a tiring weekend... Sleepless night on Friday. Still suffering from it. Needed to do some spring cleaning before my parents arrived home. By the time I was done, was already late and they were reaching. In the process of waiting, I managed to watch the EURO matches~! I saw both of it sumore~! First 2 matches of EURO that I actually stay up to watch. :P Wasn't able to catch any sleep till the next day after I sent them off to run some errands and to the airport. They flew to Penang for a wedding dinner. Phew~ I was thinking I could catch my sleep by 3pm..but then my cousin asked whether I was interested in a warehouse sale. So I said, "why not?!"

YEAH..it was Xixili Warehouse Sale. This warehouse was in Kota Damansara.I heard a forumer telling me about it earlier in the week, wasn't paying attention to her at that time. Turns out quite a lot of people actually knows about it. I'm surprised at how people get to know bout warehouse sales. I was at Lewre Stock Clearance at the factory the other day and ppl just swarm the place. So next time, when you're passing a certain factory/warehouse and you see there's an unusual amount of cars parked outside, my advice: park yours too and get down~! :) Might be able to get some cheap stuff!

Yea, check out the crowd where people go crazy grabbing bras and panties. Should've taken the picture when crowd was still massive. This was closer to evening when most of the sizes were already out and people gave up on searching. There isn't a changing room to test it out, so these creative women all crowded the back and all tried on there... (don't think so far off...there was no nudity~!) They wore the bra over their t-shirts to try on the fitting and cup size only...

Only seen a few men inside the merchandise area, while mostly were seated outside waiting for their spouses/gfs/sisters. Well, people were buying in big bulks. Considering this is branded after all and bras going for such low prices...no wonder everyone is going for it as if they're stocking for the winter kinda thing! Okok..I couldn't resist, bought some also la.. Don't think spending 2 hours there and returning empty handed was such a good idea. :P

Saw this girl who was trying out her bras, was curious and dropped some small talk asking her cup size and she said it's an E...and she had trouble looking for a size. I went like "Huh?E?Hard to find size?" Interesting to know eh? From what I could see from the sale, the most available ones are the ones with Es to Gs.. And always in demand were the As and Bs. My observation might be wrong..anyway, it was a good shopping experience with my cousin. Think it's the first time I did intimate apparel shopping with her.

Kungfu Panda

I think I got into this movie mode that I went to watch both versions in the cinema. (To those who didn't know..there is TWO versions: Chinese(Cantonese) and English). Either or, it's still a really funny cartoon. Quite a relaxing watch actually. Laughing is really a very effective way to release some stress. :)
Well, if you don't already know, Kungfu Panda is about a panda(duhh....)named Po that is so into kungfu that one day...you know what...just go to the cinema and watch it and enjoy. Heart-warming story with those "awwwww..." scenes. Watch it! If you have the budget and so happen that you understand Cantonese, watch both of it! :) **well, if you really need the synopsis for the movie, go google it up**
For English version, Jack Black voices over Po, while Eason Chan did Po in Cantonese. Entertaining. I think the animation was good too. Everything was so real..I enjoyed both the versions with an equally much dosage of laughter.

Dumpling Festival

Well..another year, another those festivities spent without my family. It's okay. In the spirit of the dumpling festival(duan wu jie), i decided to go to the market and check out what kinda dumpling there that I could get hold off. It was a rainy sunday morning. I was hoping that there were still some left..coz it was already about 9. Morning market ends about 10, but by 9 most of the stalls are closing or preparing to close.

To my surprise, the "ba zhang" (dumpling) had so many varities to it...and might I say, quite expensive too! It ranges from RM3 - RM6~! depending on what ingredients they put in. It's basically glutionous rice, with add-ons like mushroom, meat, dried oyster, egg yolk, dried shrimp ...and other ingredients that I don't know how to translate them to english. :P Anyway, I don't really know which one to get, all I did was tell the lady I wanted something with meat in it...and she started pointing here and there, then I just simply chose one....and that simply-choose-one decision cost me RM4~! Tasted so-so only. Think the normal one without the fancy varieties would cost less and taste better! :P

My aunt also asked me over for more zhang... This time it's the nyonya dumpling which is a bit different. I don't know what's the filling made of.. But it's good. Can't find this in normal market. She gave me one to bring back too.

I had this much of zhang to finish off..my meals for the next few days covered!

Had the RM4 zhang for dinner.. :)

So that was my weekend. Most of the time watching episodes of Greys and munching on lots and lots of glutionous rice dumplings.. :P

One news that got every Malaysians talking

Yeap you're right...it's been going on since 5 plus yesterday and it's still gonna go on for sometime. It's no other than the news of the recent petrol price hike. I myself got into that craze for that short moment...which I didn't went to pump my petrol also in the end coz of the ridiculous waiting for the cars to fill up...it's only that few days before you need to pump in with the new price anyway. It's just that RM10-RM15 lost for me...some up to RM30? or higher?
And it was announcement like those that created a massive jam everywhere yesterday...especially areas where there is a petrol station. Didn't help much that it was raining too. Can you believe it that at 11.45pm, ppl are still queueing for the hopes of getting their tank full??I would already give up and head home to sleep...which I did just that!

Queueing...

I was chatting with my forumer friends about the price hike earlier yesterday. Everyone was speculating how much the increase would be. Nevertheless, need to thank everyone for the SMS-es for informing me of the price hike. So...with the rebate of RM625, it would cover probably half a year for my car fuel consumption (calculating with the current RM2.70 per litre price). But be reminded that this is only temporary, embrace yourself for another fuel pricing the next month and the month after. The nightmare has just begun... hmm..I wonder if I'd see the same thing happening the end of this month...

Anyway...it's the government's call and we can't do much about it for now. So let's hope that things don't turn that bad. Everyone foresees a rise in everything ... what I pity now are those people at the lower income range..it's already hard to make ends meet, and now with this hike. I just hope the money that the government "saved" from this move would be put to good use.

So until we see some bizzarre changes ..let's just get ourselves ready for the expensive things to come. Enjoy your last bit of RM1.92 per litre petrol to those who did manage to get your fuel tank filled before 12am. And to those that don't..it doesn't really matter, they need to fill up with that RM2.70 per litre petrol anyway...! ;)

Of MIGs and F-18s..

It was not the usual boring weekend afterall, I went to the RMAF Jubilee Celebration! Haha..i went there being totally clueless about planes and aircrafts, I didn't have any expectations. The only plane I knew was MIGs, coz those days, I used to play a game called Red Alert: C&C. :p Went with the Klang forumers: LKC and Pooh. ( We go by nicknames even though we know the real names..guess it's more relatable.. :p )
Anyway, I enjoyed the airshow a lot. This is like one rare chance to go see it considering:
1. Not cheap to run one airshow like that...and entrance was FREE
2. Not often you get to be in RMAF being so up close with a fighter jet or even a small helicopter.

Nuri..I actually know this..surprisingly!

Sukhoi...new word I learnt :)

MIG-29? ..I got it right?

Took us bout 40 minutes to get to the RMAF base in Subang. Pretty awesome place, they have a golf course in it! Thanks LKC for driving us there. :) We got there like 830am. We got a nice place to park which we didn't need to walk that far to reach the display area. The crowd..wow..considering there wasn't much publicity in the newspaper, there was a pretty big crowd! Even in the morning! They setup tents for food and souvenirs too..LKC said he felt like going into a Hari Kantin. I agreed with him...gosh, missing those secondary school days.

The show then started at 9am. Started off with: Simulated strike by Hawk.

The targeted strike area..believe me, it was damn LOUD~!

Before that we had some paratroopers falling down from the sky. After the strike, there was an aerobatic show by PC7. Nuri also made an apperance after that.

The small plane on the groud...

Well, considering the planes were SO far, and the limitations of my 3X optical zoom Sony Cybershot W550...I didn't get to have any good pics of any of the planes in the sky. Sad...Next in line. F-18 Hornet ..

F-18 as it flew past...too quick...not enough lighting...DARK pic.

That was the only F-18 shot I had...haha..others are just too tiny to even see! Can't distinguish whether it's a bird or a plane. The next appearance was the MIGs. Haha, again, sad sad pics.. show you guys one when they started their routine..

Can you see two tiny little MIGs???

Last but definitely not least..Sukhoi came into the picture. Hmm..I got a few shots, not that good either....

The show ended at about 10am, then we went into the hangar to see some exhibition on the planes, guns. Took a group pic and then walked a bit, and off we go back to Klang. It was quite an educational weekend for me. :) LKC found a youtube clip of the Sukhoi Aerobatic show. I'll embed it at the end of the post. Have a good week ahead y'all~!
