Saturday was spent on bowling again. A bit OD on that. On Friday night, had bowling session with the forumers. Last Monday was bowling competition in Sunway. So it's too much bowling in a week~! :p Gonna take it slow with that for the rest of the year.
Sunday, tagged along with my cousin to check out her new place in Setia Alam. After all the consultation on an auspicious time, they decided that best time to have the moving-in prayers was by 9am that Sunday morning. So I got the call to meet up at 7am at her place. That morning I woke at 630am, after only a 4-hour sleep. But they only left home at about 8am. I seriously could've used that extra sleep time. Anyway, it's the first time that I've witnessed the whole moving-in ritual. She decided to put in a few places for the Gods: the Sky God, the Land God and of course, Kuan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy. So we head to the Kuan Yin Temple in Klang. Nicely renovated. Captured a few pictures. This place is quite nicely done. Haven't been inside before.
Pretty impressive what they've done to the place. Can't wait for all the works to be done to see the completed temple. Would be another landmark in Klang after that.
So after the temple, we head on to cousin's house. The house looks nice for a small family. Done with the basic flooring and lighting. Furnitures are not in yet, cabinets not done yet. It's just an auspicious day to move in. She needs to burn incense, josssticks and a lot of other "procedures" just to put up the Gods at her places. She even went to consult a Master on this all the way in Penang. Interesting eh? She had a lot of help from her brother's gf too. So that was an educational weekend which ended with me trying out a new Rose wine. Excellent weekend indeed~! :)

Have you checked the TOTO results?
First thing in the morning, "EH, YOUR CAR, 1st PRIZE". Half awake, I went like..huh?
Image quality not that good..but I think quite visible numbers in the first prize category.
And who said the numbers "4" are the unlucky ones. Can open first prize in lottery, don't play-play!
But afterall, this post if just for the fun of it. I didn;t buy any lotteries so I did not win anything, just that it's in the 1st prize list. Worth mentioning a bit. I wonder what if I had a ticket...hmm.....

One Fathom Bank(Part 2)
So as we finish off our dinner, it was already late. We continue on with some chit-chat and get-to-know sessions. It's great to listen to people like Hantu telling stories. It's like those "grandfather" stories type that'll get u hooked listening to it. :p I think it was 12 plus when we all retired to sleep. Check out the hostel room we got:
This is one of the available 3 rooms that they gave to us. So all of us crammed in it. With most of us sleeping on the floor, not knowing whether the ants will attack us or not. :P Too tired to bother about who snored or who did not. Alex said I did, so don't care la. :P Anyway, it was a peaceful sleep till one of the alarms rang with those funny funny tone. pstan let us listen to a special ringtone which got us all laughing. need to get that from him. Anyway, I didn't bathe for that first day we were there, made me feel all uncomfortable and my thought was, wake up early the next day to get a quick shower. The toilet is a little "risky" to use.
As you can see, it's only covered with blinds that were damaged at some corners. People from the outside can peep in. So I had a REALLY quick bath. The night before they had a water ration. KK said they are supplied with fresh water only 15 days once. SO they have their rationing daily. We were all up early for sunrise...too bad, another cloudy morning. Nothing much captured. This is one of the shots I have to show:
Another things to mention is, there's no reception on mobile phones there...well, not totally no la, just that at certain points you can get one bar, only on celcom network. That is why you get to see this in the lobby area:
People trying really hard to get connected to the outside world :D
Anyway, after that I tried a bit of the fishing feel when Kimmy passed me the fishing rod. All I had to do was to reel it up. And there was something that was biting on the bait, it was a coral fish, which i don't know the name. Kimmy asked if I felt anything when i reeled it up, I said none. :P When he caught a small herring, he told me to hold the rod again and feel the fish struggle. HAHA...yes, only then I felt the fishing feel :)
And right after the morning photo shoot, time to make breakfast. Fried rice from yesterday's rice. Excellent with extra soya sauce and saltiness~! :P We had really thick coffee too which people like Kobee got too stoned over. Peki, Kobee and me did the mixing, first batch was super thick. The next was lesser in the thickness. Coffee was made of : one bottle of nescafe gold roast and more than 20 packs of 3-in-1 nescafe. No wonder ppl OD from it~! :P
So after that, all of us packed up and made our way back. On the way back..we saw this:
This is according to what KK and Captain Samat said: "SAMPAH!" All of us damn blur there, thought it was some rare fish with that nickname. Turns out..it was literally what they meant it to be. :P According to Captain, this is what will attract fishes. So with the excitement, all the fishers in the boat went into action and caught about 8 Triple Tails. I don't have pics. Will need to include the klang forum link at the end of my posting. Go back on shore safely about 1 plus 2. Got home, took a good shower and had a good rest. Planned for the makan for that triple tail we caught that night itself. Was a delicious outing~! So that's it for this adventure this time. Enjoyed it a lot..Thanks to all MyKlang forumers~! This was unforgettable! Please check link below for more pics and posting on this trip.

One Fathom Bank(Part 1)
Okay.very much delayed update on the trip that I went last weekend. Trip to One Fathom Bank off Port Klang. :)
Date: 12/4/08 - 13/4/08
Time: 10am
Well, let's brief through the whole story on how did I manage a place to this trip at the first place. Since organised by MyKlang forum people, so I went tagging along to one of their shopping trips which at that time I was offered to take over another guy's place for the trip. :)
So the trip started when everyone gathered for a breakfast session.A very traditional Klang breakfast: Bak Kut Teh! Participants include KK, Kobee, pstan82, alexlim, kimmy, aircraft and I. Ighost and the angels: lemon, sunshinejune and siewling only joined us later at the pier. Transfered all the stuff down to the boat, by 12 plus we were on our way!
Took us about 1 hour plus to reach One Fathom Bank.
The new one with the red and white which started operation in 1998 while the old one at the background. That was built on 1874. Spooky stories are alll over these 2 lighthouses actually.
Spooky stories aside, it's a beautiful place eh? Wished I had an dSLR to take pics. The main idea I joined the trip was to observed what hard-core anglers do...and get some fishing tips/stories from KK. I did a lot of observing, with the ppl catching small fishes. It can be quite serene, being out, no land surrounding us. Life's slow paced, and at the same time, enjoying a good company of new friends. The girls were recruited for one reason: COOK! How old-skool these ppl can be. Nevermind that, it's also fun to be cooking around the angels la..nasib baik I like to cook. Started to fry the Kuih Labu, turns out to be quite tasty. The raw paste was prepared by Yuli, Ighost's maid.
So after that, we continue with the taking pics, walking around, mingling till we wait for sunset. And what else to do on such a nice place besides photoshoot...alex was with his pics and very nice pics from him. Easier to refer to their website la. Easier for me than uploading with my broadband. Later add in the link:) nice sunset..this is the only nice pic I have.
Sunset at OFB.
At night was another time for feast. Asam pedas from the 4kg "ang chor" we caught. Curry chicken, some raw vege, BBQ chicken, BBQ sotong...it was indeed a big feast! check out how big the ang chor was...
The cigarette box as indicator..got this pic from Alex. Thank you first :p
That's all for Part 1. Continue with Part 2 when I feel like it.. :P

Tiring morning
Question to the female readers, do you know how to change the tyres for ur car? Well..go learn it up if u don't know... :p Had my first ever face-on with a flat tyre this morning! Sad to say, I didn't change the tyre myself. Had to ask for assistance. Need to thank my neighbours for helping out. I get so lost when it comes to automobile. Engineer I might be..but I'm seriously helpless when it comes to car. that's why I had all the emergency numbers saved in my mobile just in case breakdown or anything.
Wasn't a good morning. Had a blackout the night before. Difficulty to sleep in the warm warm room. Only got to bed about 3, had to wake at 7. Thought I'll get to work earlier, mana tau..flat tyre. In such damsel-in-distress moments, and no knight-in-shining armour to rescue, so just needed to get my next door neighbours to help out. :P They helped me changed the spare tyre..noticed that it's THEY(both my neighbours were there..)Had the tyre changed and head to petrol station to pump air into the spare tyre. One bypasser told me the spare looks like couldn't last. got me scared, so I went to the tyre shop and waited till the shop to open. Waited in front of the shop for half n hour..Was sending SMSes to kill time and everyone had the same question to ask: "Did you change it urself?" Of course no la.. :p Why so curious? I thot it's only natural that a girl don't know how to do it?!
Anyway, in the end I got it changed. The repairman fixed it within 10 minutes. Took him 3 minutes to replace my spare with the fixed tyre.Paid him RM4 and off I go to work. What a seriously tiring morning..gonna be a long night ahead. Hoping for a smooth ride..Hope everyone have a good week ahead!

Being in control..
So have you felt that somedays you're so in control, while some other days you just crumble and feel so helpless? Another one of those days with emotional turmoils to face. Must be the idle time in office that makes me think a lot..sigh...
Anyway, this week, although quiet, didn't turn out to be that dull. A couple of new friendships formed. Getting-to-know sessions going on. hope that is going to go well..
I still need to look for a place to stay, hopefully can find one...anyone with contacts of rooms to rent in areas of PJ/Subang/Puchong?Drop me a message! :)
And....that pretty much sums it all...

Taking chances
Wow...been stuck in the car doing my drivetest and been hearing Celine Dion songs on and on over the airwaves...this song really got sipped into my head: Taking Chances.
Nice song..don't really agree about the MTV though, but then, worth a listen. Googled up the lyrics and I kinda like the chorus. The chorus goes something like this:
"What do you say to takin' chances?,
What do you say to jumping off the edge?
Never knowin' if there's solid ground below,
Or a hand to hold or hell to pay,
What do you say? What do you say?"
Yea, so what do u say to taking up something that you've never done before?Should be fun right? Like eating balut! :P I'm looping this song over youtube, maybe I should start taking chances with some new things. :)
I've recently got active in MyKlang forum. Basically gathering of Klangites in one eSpace community to talk bout everything under the sun about our beloved small town. Already met with a few of them. Interesting people. A lot of activities, especially the part bout FOOD! And I'm looking forward to more! Need to have some diet planning already! :P So that's about all to blog..kinda tired after long drives these days.
