I was at Michelle's wedding yesterday. Her wedding is the first ever church wedding that I've attended. It was a very beautiful reception. Very beautiful church in Puchong. Too bad didn't have my camera. I hope someone will send me some pics of that day. It was a Catholic wedding, heard from Chia Wei the Protestant wedding is much simpler. Will know that when she gets married. :) Michelle looked absolutely amazing in her gown. She marched in with Siew Yee singing at the background. Very touching scene. Michelle's dad was quite funny too. Being very busy with the camera the whole event. After the morning ceremony, we had lunch at the church basement.
After the break from the morning ceremony, did some running around with some bills to settle. Met up with Bev and KW for BKT. Didn't eat la, just was sitting in to drink tea with them. Haven't seen them for sometime. :) went back, and WASHED my car, after like months of dust that had settled on my car! :p
Then needed to get ready for the night. We got there earlier for the pre-dinner cocktail. Nothing much, just ppl mingling around. Holiday Villa Subang. Victorian Ballroom. Very nice setting. Different from the ballroom for Danny's wedding the last time I was there. Smaller ballroom. Met up with the CF-ers from back then. Nice to catch up with a few of them. Dinner was good. The programs from start till end was a delightful one. I like the way both of them march in the room, unlike any other weddings I've been too. Michael sang part of a song then Michelle came in. It was "I've finally found someone". Very lovely couple. Even the food presentation was a different one, rather than the waiters coming in with some kitaro song, or
the lady with the trishaw... this was just a very cute presentation which involves 2 swans, a lot of hearts, and a few smaller swans. the waiters had to carry the props and move around on the stage along with the song. Ended with 3 signs that says: Michael and Michelle, Marriage Made In Heaven, Dinner is served. Food was not bad, but I was seated with all the ladies, so most of the dishes are not finished.
Let's move on with the "unforgettable" part of it. Lilian went to Philipines and brought back balut! And she brought it during the dinner! So everyone was so curious about it, watched Alvin swallow the first. Then Joseph...I got curious too. Leona was taking a bite, I told her I wanted to try. She gave me half of it. It was okay at first..without thinking, just bite on it. It tasted like meat with the egg yolk. But then they start to play with it, coz the balut i was eating had feathers. Then the thought came to me, sheesh... i can imagine how the Fear factor people feel when they have to eat like a whole bowl of it. I had to take sweet things frm then on. The aftertaste is really bad. I down half a glass of wine, then sweet desserts from then on to cover the taste. Would I try it again? No, unless someone dared me to.
