A big thank you to the new people that started to read my blog. Been a tiring weekend.
Saturday, spent at the Curve. Met up with Mell and PJ. We met for lunch at the German restaurant there. New one I think. MEAT~!! That was all we had. You know, being the ulufied me, it was my first German food dining experience. So I was the one asking around whatever that was served to us. We ordered a starter..something something cold platter. Not bad. Then came our main course, our honey glaze pork knuckles...that was not too bad either. Dessert, was a chocolate brownie with ice-cream... sinful~! Since it was my first time, so I can't really compare where else has better German food.:P Didn't buy anything much except for one book :P Mell had discount voucher for Borders and we bought those 3-for-2 books, and it came out to be about RM18 per book? Which was really cheap~~!Haha..thank you Mell, it's like the cheapest book I bought so far! Then we went for one round of Baskin Robbins.Redeemed voucher for free handpicked pint. Jamoca Almond Fudge...YUM! :) Walked a bit more and we were on our way back.
I don't think I've mentioned about taking up weekend teaching. Well, been doing that every Sunday( except the times I take day off) the past one month plus already. Was quite demotivated the first time that I started the classes. It's getting better. I see my students responding to me...which is a good sign. My class consist of a boy and a girl. Both at the age of 7. I'm still struggling with one learning faster than the other one. Today, I got a surprise when the boy was telling me about his swimming plans after class. Then slowly got him into talking about his hobby. Frankly, I think he should be in a higher level, but will keep him there la, since he's halfway into the course. I'm quite happy that he's trying to communicate. Feels good. :D
Anyway, was a tiring weekend. Thought I'd drop by to my workplace while waiting for dinner that night..ended up working till late. :P So that was my weekend.

Extra Time..and feeling kinda "ulu"
Starting my overtime already after getting back to the wimax project. So I'm here in Sunway College, 2nd nite already. Just that yesterday we went back at about this time. Today we are not leaving till we get something done. Gosh, wonder how long that would take. By tmr we'd all probably look like pandas if we were to be the ones in front of the camera for the video conference.
Hmm...feeling a little old among these younger people. Heck they have this iTalk public phone that you just need to key in the card number and you can talk away.no coins slot~!! Too bad no camera but then, wow, good to see how the good ol' public phone had evolve to. And they have this irritating short video on top of that phone. Shows the convenience of the whole iTalk thingy.Plays on and on...and it's slowly getting to me~!!! I just realised that I'm damn ulufied. Maybe it's been here forever and since we have the bliss of using our mobile phones, we don't really look at public phones these days. Seriously, if you happen to pass by one that doesn't look like the good ol' one you remember those days, feel free to drop me a line/picture.
SO that's about my entry this time. Dinner should be arriving in another 10 minutes? Don't know, but till then, will just surf around.

Of bus rides and more..
Back from the Raya hols. Feels like the holidays are still around, no mood to work. It was a weekend with my family..which is great! My nieces have grown so much and getting even more adorable!
Yesterday, I was making my way back home from Singapore, took the express bus from Larkin. The bus fare back to Klang was RM35! That's freaking expensive! Then I asked how much to get to KL, it was only RM24! You know, being financially tight this month (and the months to come... ) So I opted for the ticket to KL. Paying for my dad too, so considering it's RM22 difference, we took it. Let's not start on the punctuality of the buses from Larkin, the ticket printed was 7:30am, and our bus only started moving at 8:00am. Which is normal if you've been taking buses from Larkin long enough. There are cases where you have to wait till the bus is full, so there's no time limit for the waiting. Too tired to think of anything, slept on the bus when journey started.
Journey from KL-Klang. Another bus ride. Was kinda surprised that they have so many bus services that goes that route. This time around, it's some new bus line that I was taking. Used to be RM2.50 for the ride. The guy in the bus said RM3.00, not really sure we were conned or what, never bothered to ask coz I only want to get home at that point. Nevermind, once you get to KL, Pudu especially, is when you hear all the bus conductors screaming on top of their lungs trying to get their buses filled up. Haven't been walking on the streets of KL for sometime. Ahh..brings back memories.
Then we got back to Klang. Had to take another bus home. Journey from Klang-Home. Okay, this bus driver was the worse in behaviour compared to all. He's not that helpful at the first place and started scolding his passengers. To those that can't really tell him the right location they want to go. Even at the ticketing, he was issuing tickets as he likes. Not to mention, he charges extra for the ticket prices. Sigh...Even when the bus is already full, he kept on taking in people.
Thank goodness I only need to take buses from KL-Klang and Klang-Home once in a while. Maybe getting too pampered with the comfort of my own car. Hmm...but still in one day, there's a lot of people that uses the buses to commute. I just hope the services doesn't deteriote anymore.

Updates~! Langkawi!
Oh gosh, been a month since I last posted something. Mood is up currently~! Nearing the Raya hols I guess. Heading down to Singapore after so many months~!
Langkawi Sept '07
Date: 29th Sept - 1st Oct
Participant: 4 - Mun Leng, Nyuet, Dhass and me :D
Weather: Rainy most of the time during afternoons
Day 1
Journey to KL Sentral to catch the LCCT shuttle bus. FYI, journey is freaking long from Klang~! Anyway, AirAsia flight AK6038 was on time~! And we got there like 1:40pm? Somewhere there.Of course the first thing we did was get a car to go around. There was this group of people waiting at the airport. We got an Iswara aeroback for RM50 perday. Quite sad condition and he dared to tell us that it's new~! WTF?!?! Doesn't matter, we got it for RM120 as the package. Off we go, with that bit of petrol left in the car. Then we checked into our budget hotel; Malibest in Pantai Cenang. If you're looking for a place to stay, this is quite good. Cost RM120 per nite and you have this small chalet that faces the beach and sea~! Clean and comfty. The name of our chalet was Timun. They have all the weird weird names for the chalets.
A room with a view..not bad eh? So after that, all of us were actually quite sleepy, everyone was telling me that they didn't get much sleep the night before. Same goes for myself.Dropped our stuff and went for lunch. After that, we got to the nearest duty free shopping place. Bought ourselves the first batch of beer and chocolate. We were in the celebration mood and Dhass suggested we get the Moet(champagne), which we did and we finished it that night itself~! Anyway, we got back and enjoyed the view and stuff. Got ourselves registered for a snorkeling session the next day. It was RM130 per pax.We bought lots of snacks that we can munch on. We just went to the beach and enjoyed the breeze while we chit chat over stuff.Took our bath and we got ready for dinner~! Coco beach...hmm, I would say I won't go there again. Expensive and not worth it la.Altough the restaurant is next to the sea la. Don't trust the advertisements you see in the tourist info brochure :P After that we drove around till we reach Kuah town, and planned on the places we want to go the next day. Dhass saw something on the internet that suggested a night spot called Reggae Bar, but when we found the place, it was a little creepy la. So we turned back. :P So we got back and opened up our champagne. After a short drinking session by the beach, we got back to our rooms and called it a day.
Day 2
Woke up at 7 to get ready for our snorkeling session. Destination: Pulau Payar Marine Park. Sadly we din bring our camera, coz we were thinking that no one would look after our stuff once we all go in the sea. So we got all ready for it and waited for the bus to come pick us up from our hotel. The journey took about 1 hour to get to the jetty and another hour in our ferry. So in the end we got on this marine park and met our friendly guide, Rina. Been a while since I snorkelled, so had this phobia again and took me a while to get used to it again. The underwater world was fantastic~! It was raining~!!! Pretty heavy at once. Nyuet and ML was nice enough to bring me around considering I don't know how to swim. I LOVE YOU GUYS..THANK YOU. And Nyuet thought me how to move myself in the water...which is also cool. But in the end, I still don't know how to swim if I didn't have that life jacket strapped on me. About an hour later, we got out of the water and had our lunch. Fried chicken+sausages+biscuit+apple+bread+mineral water. We got to see the feeding of garoupa and baracudda. Interesting. The nicest part of our snorkelling session was after lunch when the guide brought us to deeper waters to see more stuff! I guess the sad thing about this place was the rubbish~! And also the dead corals. The underwater creatures were quite interesting. Oh ya, the session after lunch, we put on the fins and I could navigate myself :D only a bit slower la, and the ang moh was swimming past like no one is there. Splashed all the water at us~! So inconsiderate~!It was indeed an interesting experience. Too bad no pics :P
So tired after we got back, and had too much of beer, think I slept off after I took my bath. The rest of them went around and took pics. At night, we went Kuah. Then went shopping for souvenirs and other stuff. Bought sumore chocolates~! Then we stumbled upon one restaurant that we had this big seafood feast of our own. We ordered garlic butter lobster, curry cuttlefish, plum sauce chicken, kailan, thai style fish. Excellent meal~! The lady boss was very nice to us too. Got back and spent some time at Debbie's place, an Irish bar across the road from our hotel. Dhass wanted her flaming lamborghini and she got it...two times! . We got back after our drinks and slept. We didn't really track our time when we're there Kept my watch in the drawer and rarely look at my handphone. Totally relaxed~!
Day 3
None of us wanted to wake up~ Coz we all knew that we're going back already. But the sea was rough in that morning. Strong winds.
After about 9 plus, we got up and went for breakfast at the Breakfast Bar near our hotel. Had nasi lemak and horlicks. Not nice la..Just was craving for some nice and hot food, turns out to be quite disappointing. We finished and we went for our alcohol shopping before we make our way to the airport. And then the holiday ends......... Reached KL Sentral about 5 plus and I reached home about 730pm.
Conclusion: This was great. Travelling companion was excellent too. And this was quite an enjoyable trip. Can't wait for the next one..if we all have one. :D
