Perhentian ... Part 2

So let's continue with the Perhentian trip...a bit too long to get this trip story done...considering i still dun have any pics frm them about it. Anyway, let's continue with our snorkeling trips. The arrangements was made with the hotel itself. We get to go 3 spots for this afternoon trip..which I forgotten what names were they...I know one of it is Shark Point. :P The next 3 was scheduled the next morning. After a while that I did not go snorkeling, the fear of the deep sea engulfs me once again, but then..as usual, thinking that I can do wonders with a life jacket on...then came this voice: JUMP IN ONLY LA~! And so...I did just that. We were joined with a group of people from JB. Heard from their leader they are from a factory. There were 28-29 of them. So it was a convoy of 3 small boats. Snorkelling has always been fun...but this time around, fishes looked the same, big portion of the corals are dead... sighh..seriously, there's more things needed to be done to conserve these places. NY raised a point, what's the RM5 fee for, if this money is not put to use for efforts to conserve these underwater creature/beings?

After the first spot, there was an unfortunate event. One guy had seizures...and he was  unconcious for sometime. Very scary...coz when they fished him up from the sea, he was all white...we can see it from the other boat.. The next day when I asked the leader, he said he's ok at that time coz he was sent to the nearest hospital already. Very creepy indeed. He shouldn't have went into the sea if he knew he had a medical condition...

We went on to the 2nd n 3rd spot. I was having trouble with my goggles...actually it's how I placed it. So didn't really get to
enjoy it that much...Well, plus another part that I almost drowned coz I was under the boat...but that was just a short point of time.. We got to see turtles~ ... I missed it when I was in the sea...we saw it surfaced when we were on the boat :p If we knew earlier, we would've just stayed on board :p Very tiring wan leh...even for ppl who knows how to swim!

We got back from sea about evening. Tea time was almost over. What we could grab was a piece of sandwich and we were all darn hungry then. Went back to our rooms and took bath. Went down to jalan-jalan and wait for makan time later. Went to the mini mart to grab some chips...things were so expensive! What to expect island price, kena chop chop... :P

Dinner time was great! BBQ Seafood for dinner. Excellent la. Food was abundant...unlike one of my forumer friend's experience when he was there. We had dunno how many rounds of BBQ squid and lamb.. since i'm still without pics..I'll post up one pic I took la.

After dinner, we went jalan-jalan to check out the island. Since our plans to Perhentian Kecil didn't really work out considering it cost a bomb to go over n come back! the ppl told us the water taxi was at least RM75 two way...PER PERSON! That's a bit too expensive la. We were walking n taking crazy pics at night creeping our ownself out... and then we bump into this nice like place. Had a glass of liquor each...I had Singapore Sling. NY had Pina Colada and ML had Mai Tai, Lorraine had a Tiger. Each cocktail was RM25 perglass. The people there are friendly. We got to know the lady boss who opened one of the budget stays. Diver's something..need to check it out. It's new and it cost like only RM100 per night. Looks nice too. So that was our first night...

Hmm..looks like part 3 needs to wait also.. :P

Perhentian.. Part 1

Hey all..the long awaited update on my recent Perhentian Trip. :) To summarised, it was a great getaway with loads of memories/lessons to bring home with.

Date: 24-26Aug 2008
Participants: NY, Grace, Lorraine, Mun Leng, Me

This all-girl trip thingy was planned way way ahead...so when my boss was saying that he wasn't going to let me off, I was really very disappointed, at points very pissed off...but nevertheless, he couldn't really hold me back la...coz I planned and paid for at least 3/4 of the trip dy. So the day arrived and started as early as 5am... We were supposed to gather at ML's place to wait for the cabbie to send us there at 5.30am. I was too excited the night before that I couldn't really sleep much! :P

Although sleepy, but once all of us got together, we started chit chatting away from the time we left ML's house right up to the airport. It was an hour plus journey and we didn't even pause our conversation leh.. :P I wonder if the taxi guy was surprised that we were so semangat that early in the morning. Anyway, NY already checked us in, so we were taking our own sweet time to get to the gate. Erm...suppose to be entering the gates by 7am, we were still in McD right up till 720am...well..until they started the announcement to board. By the time we entered, it was last call for our flight. :p So not bad for AirAsia flight...new plane...airbus 320...comfy. Graces' first flying experience. A bit of a crowd, it was at least 80% full. The flight took us 55 minutes.. landed in KB and there we were picked up by Baha. Local Kelantan guy who was driving us to the port at Kuala Besut. At the same time they picked up another group of ppl travelling to the same place.

We were then dropped off at the tour agency. Waited for the boat to arrive to send us to Perhentian~! Weird arrangements at the jetty, when the lady was telling us that boat is already full and only can accomodate 4 of us and 1 have to wait for the next boat. A bit absurd la...but have to follow, we didn't want to create any problems and ML, Lorraine n I got on the first boat. NY and Grace came later on the second boat. Sea was very choppy that afternoon.. The speedboat was going fast and our butts hurt from the boat ride.
But when you see the blue seas and blue skies..all the excitement just compensates our hurt arses :P Anyway, we got in Arwana, got us checked in and enjoyed our welcome drink. I remember the guy that dealt with our check in. His name is Robert. You know why? Coz later on, NY and Grace got into a really bad room with wet bedsheet and sandy floor and they had to request for change. Thank goodness the hotel was able to change and also upgrade their rooms too! That's why they got to the dining area late. We got into our superior room and it was quite spacious with a clean toilet! Dropped our bags, changed into something comfy.. It was 12:30pm and lunch was served~! I can say that our overall buffet spread was quite a good one.

This was one of those holidays that I sit and wait for time to pass....not in a rush, so we got time to ourselves. Our first snorkelling trip was at 2:30pm. We had time to sit n wait for that after lunch. Neither of us brought our watches, so we were just walking around. But the feeling of not knowing the time just kills me...seriously, up to now, if I don;t have a watch/handphone, I'll be searching for a clock. I wonder how many of you all feel the same as I do... NY and Lorraine were very happy to see the seas and fishies...so I think they took quite a lot of pics and videos of those fishes that were lingering near the shore. Don't have them with me to show..Maybe can find those on facebook... Anyway...fishies aside, it was time for our first snorkeling trip..and will be explained further in my next post :P

To PERHENTIAN~~~~

Yeay... I finally got my leave approved...well, not officially, considering I did submit my form, just not sure whether it's approved or not. But this is what I've planned earlier of the year. It's a sure go dy! and my flight is at 730am tmr. Can't wait. Been taking things slow the past 2 days, which is kinda nice. Slept a lot and ate a lot of junk. :P Need to get a break before I go back and work again...there's already work to do once I get back.

To Perhentian~~~~~~~~~

Embarassing moments..

Well..I was hoping to have the weekend to breeze through with no outstanding issues...I guess, I'm quite relaxed this week. Anyway, today when I was coming back from buying back my lunch, heard the radio saying that one of their cruzers team are around my housing area. So I was thinking, what the heck...get over and get some freebies, which I did. :p First time ever that I did this kinda thing...then I got drag to do something. Well..the fella asked me to sing. What an embarassing moment. sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star...(Trust me...I didn't even want to sing.... ) More embarassed was when I can't get a small girl's attention when I sang it.. sighh..

anyway...time to root for Lee Chong Wei for the quest of the Malaysia's first gold. :)

My tyre....AGAIN~~~!!!

Second time this year la... how sad. Another tyre puncture case. Actually it's more of my car tyre is worn out. Could've exploded? Don't even wanna think the worse case scenario. My tyres were causing some problems...so it's time to get them changed. 50000km, 3 years..my tyres have served me good already la. Think will change them soon. So any suggestions where I can get cheap and good tyre for my SLK (Small Little Kelisa :P) ? Extra expenditure sumore.. so sad..a bit unexpected. :(

And what a day to remember it by.. 080808 ...Beijing Olympics day! Just finished witnessing the opening ceremony. At some point it's quite interesting, while at some part it's a little boring. But overall it's a good job done for all the hardwork for such a long time from preparation to practice.

So Monday's the start..let's hope all preparations made are sufficient. Just need to keep my fingers crossed till it's all done. Tension~~~ !!!

Work work...

So how's life been since the last I posted? Yeah..guessed it right: HECTIC~! So I've been occupied everyday since I got back to HQ...not even a time to stop and just waste the day away like last time. Hmm..I'm gonna be occupied further on with more work..life's all bout work for me now. Like starting a new job.... :P

It's already August...and it only means one thing... Pulau Perhentian! And that's happening at the end of the month...provided I get to meet the first deadline...if not...gone la my 300+ paid holiday. Will try to work till finish deadline.. I hope this is project will run smoothly too...

And I've met up with some old friends recently. Feels great to catch up also la...and this weekend will be WJ's day..~~evil grin~~ :> ...can't wait! I mean for the dinner + celebration... *no other meanings* :P Have a good week ahead people~!

A sense of belonging...

I think everyone would agree that anyone somehow and at some point would need to feel the sense of belonging. Feeling the need to be accepted by a certain group of people...

For me...been back to my HQ for close to a month already. Having a bunch of young group of colleagues is kinda new to me.. :P (*I used to be the younger few in the bunch previously!*) But blending in was not really a problem considering I did knew a few of them before this..so wasn't that bad. SO things in the office is not that bad for now ;)

Anyway, since I'm a little free from work today, besides work, there is those other issues starting to surface. My previous post said something bout the void feeling. Don't feel it that much already, but then am troubled by a few events that had just occurred... makes me think and wonder even more of... hmm...hope that things get better soon. Till then, I hope everyone have a carefree week. I just realised that over the past few weeks, the number of white hair strands had increased! Not a good sign. Over-using my braincells for unnecessary thoughts!

Quickie...

Not what you're thinking...i'm just logging in for a short posting. Life's been pretty hectic since I got back to my HQ. Lots of things to do..and not do.. :p Spending lesser time with the forum, internet too...where did my time go?? Getting some action back....**again..not what you thinking~!!** Back to the courts with badminton again. Hope can last for long time...haven't been playing for months! I think I'm missing on a lot of things, hopefully can find time to catch up on all that I've been missing... it's a weird feeling, suddenly just feeling a void ... what's wrong? hmmm....

Teambuilding@Genting

Okay..a bit slow in updating the blog. Yea, was placed back in HQ this past 2 days. Time difference with the start and end time of work. Still trying to get used to that.

Anyway, I managed to attend a teambuilding session in Genting recently.

Date: 30th June - 1st July
Location: Awana Genting
Participants: Staff and contractors of H&NE Motorola

Started off with us travelling up to Genting together with my colleagues. Reaching there at 9.40am, we were still not the last people to arrive :P Got ourselves registered into our respective groups. I was placed in Team Blue B. Well..there was Group A:Orange, Blue, Yellow and Group B: Orange, Blue, Yellow.

It was quite an interesting session considering that it's a teambuilding with 70-80 pariticipants. My group had 13 people. Half of them are the people I work in the same office with. Got to know some newer guys. Zikri was our Team leader. First round after the briefing, was an activity for us to get our t-shirts from the marshall. After that we started with our outdoor activities. First half of the day we had activities indoor. Started off with Archery. I took like ages to get arrows to hit target. :P It was only 16 minutes for the team to complete the task. Next was Abseiling. Seriously, something I thought that I will not attempt ... hahha...didn't do that bad..although screamed most of the way down. :p After that was Squash...with a twist?!??! It was us trying to attempt to hit the squash ball to the target. Damn hard ... The last activity for that first half of the day was Rock Climbing... which was...SAD. Coz I was the only one in the team that did not pass that task. I TRIED...just that I couldn't do it. So gave up :P

Then it was break for lunch. We got by and mingle around. Only to find out that later that afternoon, we might get wet...which was true. First activity after lunch was Minefield...this is where we need to step and make our way from start to end without stepping on any mine that will trigger the buzzer and had to sit out after that. Our team did quite well in that and ended quite fast. Next, Treasure Hunt for boxes...in some longhouse la. My teammates were fast..I started to look and they already found one box...started looking for a while, the other box was found. We got ourselves to the next activity. Crocodile Pit. In this activity, we had this plank that we need to arrange and step on to get everyone in the team to cross the river...which we excelled! :p We finished all activities within 1 hour...and we had time to go back to our rooms and rest/bathe.

We had dinner about 7 and after bout an hour plus later, we were on our way up to Genting. Got into a coffee session and CS session after..... :P which we did not get much rest. Just probably that 2 hours before we drag ourselves up for the morning's activities. We didn't want to be late, coz latecomers had to entertain the crowd. Very interesting entertainment after all!

After that came the gist of the whole teambuilding: Domino Race. YES..it was constructing dominoes. VERY CHALLENGING YET INTERESTING working on a big dominos project. We were split into new groups and work on each domino map. I was in team 7 who was in charge of "L". We decided to let the domino to spell out M-O-T-O-R-O-L-A. It was really cool...it's not as easy as u think. Think of frustration when the domino chips fall before it's fully constructed. Imagine the tension in the room. This is really good to test on one's persistency in doing anything. After a grueling 4 hours...we got it all constructed. The last minute was the completion of the bridges that connect one domino map to another...that was one intense moment. Everyone was at the edge of their seat, hoping that nothing will fall until it was time. Again..imagine how tensed up the bridge constructers were!

My group's "L"

The completed domino map....waiting for the official start

Well, I can't really get the whole pic for the domino drop... Coz everyone was in my way...and not all domino chip drop also la.. :p Anyway..I enjoyed myself there. Want to get into this kinda activity again. Just have fun and no need to think about work and crazy things that's been happening in office. So..let's hope there's some positive news to come.. :)

To Singapore....if the bus don't drop you off halfway

I had a long weekend. Started off with a last minute decision to get on the bus from Klang to Singapore...which I regretted...IMMENSELY! Seriously, been travelling to and fro to Singapore for many many times...(kinda lost count la..) This last trip was one of the WORST ever travelling experience I've ever had! (Yea...this beats the RM35 for a school-bus ride from JB-Klang that I once had)

Bus company: S.E Ekspres Sdn Bhd
Bus plate number: BEE 1890

I will never forget this...BECAUSE THEY DROPPED US OFF AT LARKIN,JOHOR BAHRU AT 5AM! Can you imagine how frustrated I was... I paid RM35 for a bus ticket that says KLANG-SINGAPORE....and where did I end up? LARKIN! and the bus fella had the nerve to buy us public bus tickets that enters Singapore. We reached Larkin at 4 something in the morning. I knew there was gonna be a bus exchange as I heard them mentioned about it. Well, as long as you exchange a bus that brings me to my destination, I'm fine. After so many times, this exchanging bus is not new to me. As i said, as long as it gets me to my destination, I'm fine with it. This was too much. Public bus only operates at 5 plus. And entering Singapore using the causeway is a nightmare in the early hours of the day coz of the working ppl from JB travelling there, be it busses, motorbikes, or cars~! But we were all desperate to reach to the island...so we had to take the bus. Jam was terrible, the bus was stuck, so all of us came down and walked our way to the Customs office...that was the first ever time I needed to walked from the midst of town to the customs office which was like a 10 minutes walk...with all our bags~

It was gonna be a long wait for the Singapore-Johore Express(SJE) bus to reach. An uncle who travels often said it's best that we figured out another way to get to the island and then decide later when we're on the island. Well said. At that early hours of the day, my brain don't work too well with all the frustration. We took another public bus that was available then and off we go to the Woodlands checkpoint. After the checkpoint, I decided to wait for the SJE bus again. Met that uncle again and he related about how he was left at Larkin before. Seems like it's not the first time that this had happened. In the end, I got to my brother's place at 730am. That's like close to 8 hours travel ...and normally it should be 6 hours MAX!

SO this is really really bad. Since this is the ONLY company that's providing bus services to Singapore from Klang, I still think that this kinda attitude should not be acceptable lor. It only cost like RM28-RM30 for a ride to JB. The public bus ticket to Singapore was worth RM2.50. Which means WHAT THE HELL FOR I PAY RM35 FOR A RIDE THAT WILL STOP ME BEFORE MY DESTINATION? Ridiculous. Time wasting. It was a bus that was at least half filled with passengers. Very irresponsible for them to not informed of that earlier. I'm familiar with travelling to Singapore, what happens to those who are not? How do they inform their relatives/friends about the change of destination? FYI, the public bus stop and express bus stop are at two totally different places. I think people should know about this kinda bad bus service and I hope there's a new bus service in town for that route. This bus company does not respect the idea of punctuality too. I think it's time that a new service was introduced.

p/s: I'm not sure where I can channel this complaint to... If any of you would know, please inform me. I don't think there's a point of sending the complaint just to the management of the bus company, think it'll fall to deaf ears again!

ABCDEFG...

What a tiring weekend... Sleepless night on Friday. Still suffering from it. Needed to do some spring cleaning before my parents arrived home. By the time I was done, was already late and they were reaching. In the process of waiting, I managed to watch the EURO matches~! I saw both of it sumore~! First 2 matches of EURO that I actually stay up to watch. :P Wasn't able to catch any sleep till the next day after I sent them off to run some errands and to the airport. They flew to Penang for a wedding dinner. Phew~ I was thinking I could catch my sleep by 3pm..but then my cousin asked whether I was interested in a warehouse sale. So I said, "why not?!"

YEAH..it was Xixili Warehouse Sale. This warehouse was in Kota Damansara.I heard a forumer telling me about it earlier in the week, wasn't paying attention to her at that time. Turns out quite a lot of people actually knows about it. I'm surprised at how people get to know bout warehouse sales. I was at Lewre Stock Clearance at the factory the other day and ppl just swarm the place. So next time, when you're passing a certain factory/warehouse and you see there's an unusual amount of cars parked outside, my advice: park yours too and get down~! :) Might be able to get some cheap stuff!

Yea, check out the crowd where people go crazy grabbing bras and panties. Should've taken the picture when crowd was still massive. This was closer to evening when most of the sizes were already out and people gave up on searching. There isn't a changing room to test it out, so these creative women all crowded the back and all tried on there... (don't think so far off...there was no nudity~!) They wore the bra over their t-shirts to try on the fitting and cup size only...

Only seen a few men inside the merchandise area, while mostly were seated outside waiting for their spouses/gfs/sisters. Well, people were buying in big bulks. Considering this is branded after all and bras going for such low prices...no wonder everyone is going for it as if they're stocking for the winter kinda thing! Okok..I couldn't resist, bought some also la.. Don't think spending 2 hours there and returning empty handed was such a good idea. :P

Saw this girl who was trying out her bras, was curious and dropped some small talk asking her cup size and she said it's an E...and she had trouble looking for a size. I went like "Huh?E?Hard to find size?" Interesting to know eh? From what I could see from the sale, the most available ones are the ones with Es to Gs.. And always in demand were the As and Bs. My observation might be wrong..anyway, it was a good shopping experience with my cousin. Think it's the first time I did intimate apparel shopping with her.

Kungfu Panda

I think I got into this movie mode that I went to watch both versions in the cinema. (To those who didn't know..there is TWO versions: Chinese(Cantonese) and English). Either or, it's still a really funny cartoon. Quite a relaxing watch actually. Laughing is really a very effective way to release some stress. :)
Well, if you don't already know, Kungfu Panda is about a panda(duhh....)named Po that is so into kungfu that one day...you know what...just go to the cinema and watch it and enjoy. Heart-warming story with those "awwwww..." scenes. Watch it! If you have the budget and so happen that you understand Cantonese, watch both of it! :) **well, if you really need the synopsis for the movie, go google it up**
For English version, Jack Black voices over Po, while Eason Chan did Po in Cantonese. Entertaining. I think the animation was good too. Everything was so real..I enjoyed both the versions with an equally much dosage of laughter.

Dumpling Festival

Well..another year, another those festivities spent without my family. It's okay. In the spirit of the dumpling festival(duan wu jie), i decided to go to the market and check out what kinda dumpling there that I could get hold off. It was a rainy sunday morning. I was hoping that there were still some left..coz it was already about 9. Morning market ends about 10, but by 9 most of the stalls are closing or preparing to close.

To my surprise, the "ba zhang" (dumpling) had so many varities to it...and might I say, quite expensive too! It ranges from RM3 - RM6~! depending on what ingredients they put in. It's basically glutionous rice, with add-ons like mushroom, meat, dried oyster, egg yolk, dried shrimp ...and other ingredients that I don't know how to translate them to english. :P Anyway, I don't really know which one to get, all I did was tell the lady I wanted something with meat in it...and she started pointing here and there, then I just simply chose one....and that simply-choose-one decision cost me RM4~! Tasted so-so only. Think the normal one without the fancy varieties would cost less and taste better! :P

My aunt also asked me over for more zhang... This time it's the nyonya dumpling which is a bit different. I don't know what's the filling made of.. But it's good. Can't find this in normal market. She gave me one to bring back too.

I had this much of zhang to finish off..my meals for the next few days covered!

Had the RM4 zhang for dinner.. :)

So that was my weekend. Most of the time watching episodes of Greys and munching on lots and lots of glutionous rice dumplings.. :P

One news that got every Malaysians talking

Yeap you're right...it's been going on since 5 plus yesterday and it's still gonna go on for sometime. It's no other than the news of the recent petrol price hike. I myself got into that craze for that short moment...which I didn't went to pump my petrol also in the end coz of the ridiculous waiting for the cars to fill up...it's only that few days before you need to pump in with the new price anyway. It's just that RM10-RM15 lost for me...some up to RM30? or higher?
And it was announcement like those that created a massive jam everywhere yesterday...especially areas where there is a petrol station. Didn't help much that it was raining too. Can you believe it that at 11.45pm, ppl are still queueing for the hopes of getting their tank full??I would already give up and head home to sleep...which I did just that!

Queueing...

I was chatting with my forumer friends about the price hike earlier yesterday. Everyone was speculating how much the increase would be. Nevertheless, need to thank everyone for the SMS-es for informing me of the price hike. So...with the rebate of RM625, it would cover probably half a year for my car fuel consumption (calculating with the current RM2.70 per litre price). But be reminded that this is only temporary, embrace yourself for another fuel pricing the next month and the month after. The nightmare has just begun... hmm..I wonder if I'd see the same thing happening the end of this month...

Anyway...it's the government's call and we can't do much about it for now. So let's hope that things don't turn that bad. Everyone foresees a rise in everything ... what I pity now are those people at the lower income range..it's already hard to make ends meet, and now with this hike. I just hope the money that the government "saved" from this move would be put to good use.

So until we see some bizzarre changes ..let's just get ourselves ready for the expensive things to come. Enjoy your last bit of RM1.92 per litre petrol to those who did manage to get your fuel tank filled before 12am. And to those that don't..it doesn't really matter, they need to fill up with that RM2.70 per litre petrol anyway...! ;)

Of MIGs and F-18s..

It was not the usual boring weekend afterall, I went to the RMAF Jubilee Celebration! Haha..i went there being totally clueless about planes and aircrafts, I didn't have any expectations. The only plane I knew was MIGs, coz those days, I used to play a game called Red Alert: C&C. :p Went with the Klang forumers: LKC and Pooh. ( We go by nicknames even though we know the real names..guess it's more relatable.. :p )
Anyway, I enjoyed the airshow a lot. This is like one rare chance to go see it considering:
1. Not cheap to run one airshow like that...and entrance was FREE
2. Not often you get to be in RMAF being so up close with a fighter jet or even a small helicopter.

Nuri..I actually know this..surprisingly!

Sukhoi...new word I learnt :)

MIG-29? ..I got it right?

Took us bout 40 minutes to get to the RMAF base in Subang. Pretty awesome place, they have a golf course in it! Thanks LKC for driving us there. :) We got there like 830am. We got a nice place to park which we didn't need to walk that far to reach the display area. The crowd..wow..considering there wasn't much publicity in the newspaper, there was a pretty big crowd! Even in the morning! They setup tents for food and souvenirs too..LKC said he felt like going into a Hari Kantin. I agreed with him...gosh, missing those secondary school days.

The show then started at 9am. Started off with: Simulated strike by Hawk.

The targeted strike area..believe me, it was damn LOUD~!

Before that we had some paratroopers falling down from the sky. After the strike, there was an aerobatic show by PC7. Nuri also made an apperance after that.

The small plane on the groud...

Well, considering the planes were SO far, and the limitations of my 3X optical zoom Sony Cybershot W550...I didn't get to have any good pics of any of the planes in the sky. Sad...Next in line. F-18 Hornet ..

F-18 as it flew past...too quick...not enough lighting...DARK pic.

That was the only F-18 shot I had...haha..others are just too tiny to even see! Can't distinguish whether it's a bird or a plane. The next appearance was the MIGs. Haha, again, sad sad pics.. show you guys one when they started their routine..

Can you see two tiny little MIGs???

Last but definitely not least..Sukhoi came into the picture. Hmm..I got a few shots, not that good either....

The show ended at about 10am, then we went into the hangar to see some exhibition on the planes, guns. Took a group pic and then walked a bit, and off we go back to Klang. It was quite an educational weekend for me. :) LKC found a youtube clip of the Sukhoi Aerobatic show. I'll embed it at the end of the post. Have a good week ahead y'all~!

Lady drivers..sheeshhh

Ok ok...we've heard a lot about lady drivers...Everyday I try my best to not to fit into the pack..

Last week..I was seriously pissed off with the lady drivers on the road, okay, for once I understand why the men kept going on and on about how bad a lady drives...

Incident 1: Cutting lanes and slowing down. C'mon~!! I was going fast, you don't cut into my lane and slow down~! Blue SAGA!

Incident 2: Abrupt change of lanes without looking/signalling.We were caught in a slow moving traffic, so just waited for her to make her move. Black Vios! Think it was black..but this morning had the same incident, and it was confirmed a BLACK Vios coming out frm Bkt Rimau trying to cut to far right for the contra flow..I was going at 90! Needed to brake so she can slowly make her way to the right lane~!

Incident 3: Sudden break! What the hell?!?! You don't suddenly break when you're like kilometres away from the front car~! Red Merc!

That aside...yesterday got one incident on the road la. Sad to say, although waiting in queue, somehow the lane branched into 3 and I was caught at the far left lane, which at the moment I was then forced to take back to the middle lane....which made me a queue jumper on that faithful evening. I pissed someone off by doing that. Could hear his horns blaring away when I forced my way in. He went on for revenge later on after we made the right turn, I knew it was coming, was in time to dodge it. Seriously, did not do it intentionally. Blame it on the traffic system~! I was never in the wrong lane~!! But then, bottomline...yesterday evening I was back in the pack.

I vow to follow the traffic rules as closely as I could..occassionally I might break some..but I try very hard to not piss ppl off when I'm on the road, and I hope and pray that people don't piss me off too!

Tioman - Always In My Heart (Part 5)

Day 3

Day 3 began early for me too. Since most of us had a really late and tiring night, not sure if everyone woke up in time for breakfast or not. I know I did and had a chat with Adrian that morning. Well, Yi Min was up early too. Then his China comrade was up too..YiMin thinks he's gay and from what we saw, he kept on popping up whenever YiMin's around. :P So maybe YiMin got himself an admirer.

So I got up that morning, only to realize that my camera battery was running low, and so was my memory space in the stick...sad. Needed to save on both batt n image. Another pic that I like:

Took a few shots, wanted to go for running waters, but limitations to my camera la. But I also like the next pic with the whole family playing in the water..

The main reason I like it coz the little boys were so cute~! Saw them by the beach the past 2 days. The little boy with the floats on the left and right hand was probably 1-2years old. Damn adorable~! I had to stand in the water to take that pic.

Anyway, after breakfast, we didn't really have a plan but just to hang around and start waking everyone up~! WS went off to the nearest internet cafe to work a bit. The rest of us started creating havoc with the others. Adrian wanted a game of soccer...I got lost in the pack and went for some photoshoot.. :p

All 4 pics here taken with my W890i

So the plan was to pack up and football..while the girls wanted to go for a swim instead. That was about 11 something dy. So Push, being the leader, and brought the whole clan to the beach. He led the jump into the waters la..which most of them followed, I went in too... hahha.... it was up to chest level only la. I was too chicken to go in deeper. :p Then again, this is also one of those daring attempts I've ever taken. What the heck rite? But if my parents ever knew, they'd be screaming at me already. About noon, we picked up a volleyball and had a short game...which ended up with all of us tanned/burnt~! It was the hot afternoon sun~! Once we're done with the game, we're starving and had pizza at the Sunset cafe. The small cafe is managed by this friendly couple who has been there more than 10 years. No wonder everyone loves it there. I got myself a place next to this American couple. They've been travelling around and been in Malaysia for the 3rd year. They're seriously thinking of migrating to Malaysia. They're in stage musicals..the last show they were in was Anna & The King and The Sound of Music. I missed both the shows. They will be appearing in Cinderella. Scheduled to be somewhere next year. Will try to catch that. Very friendly couple, who I didn't even get their names. It was the beginning of their 3rd week in Tioman. Wow..and they just left Chengdu right before the earthquake happened. They said they can't imagine what to expect when they return. Sigh...

By the time we were done with lunch was close to 3pm..went back to our room, took bath and settled down while we waited for the time to go back..which was supposed to be at 5. Since can't sleep, we just played cards to kill time. And then, about 5 plus to 6, another good chance to take these:

Both pics also from my W890i

I also took pics with the rest of the people from the trip. I'm trying to get hold of a photoshop tool to help tiled them all up. Me = Photoshop Idiot... So that will have to wait. Sad that I dun have a group pic. Before we left, there was a group pic session...embarassing moment for me when I slipped and fell..sigh...memalukan.. Anyway, as mentioned, I don't have one to show. Let's hope I could get it from Wai Yee soon. The boat ride back felt like forever. We got back to mainland about 10pm, head to makan. Had a good meal with everyone before we made our way back. Bumpy ride all the way, being SUPER EXHAUSTED, I think I slept 90% of the way. Only woke up when I reached home about 3am!

CONCLUSION: This trip came to me the right time considering I needed the break from work and all other stuff. Although hiccups here and there during the trip, I guess it's just part and parcel of going to a trip with a big group especially. So I needed to say thank you to everyone.

Pushpan - I put you as the first person to thank coz you're the organiser(others are not in any particular order) which means you made all the arrangements for us, settle any problems that occured. You're the MAN la..quite a charmer too eh? ;) Sorry if I'd caused any trouble, hopefully I didn't. Photos will be ready for collection probably within this week ;)

Wee San - Thank you so much for asking me to join the trip. Muaks~! I know we bug you a lot too..sometimes we can get a bit tooooo "fan" for you.

Fatt - Thank you for being such a good sport~! I think I can still remember what happened in that game..hahaha...but then you've made everyone VERY HAPPY with all the laughters.

Yi Min - Thank you so much for driving us...and the GPS. You've been another good sport with the game...and other things. :) Hope you get to go for holidays more, need a break sometime wan la...

Jacqueline - THANKS for asking WS to go which then brought us all to the trip. Thank you for the sunblock too.. hahaha...Thanks for the company too....those kap chai times ~!!

Wai Yee - Wow, I've never seen someone so influential and powerful to have 5 guys listening and obeying to you. You're the WOMAN~! Respect~!! Thank you for the entertaining stories too...you never fail to light up everyone la..

Shuk Yee - Didn't really get to talk to you much besides some info bout you, but thank you for giving me that one nice pose for the sunset pic~! :) Thanks, that was one of my favourite pic from the trip.

Adrian - Thanks for the morning chat..Now I know who to find when I want to get a good bottle of wine. :)

Aeron - Thanks for sharing your story and pulling me up after I fell ( still damn embarassed about that ) I hope you can recover soon... then probably can cook up some dishes for everyone if we decided to get everyone together again~! And take a holiday outdoors more!

Raymond - You're one damn funny guy la, thanks for the entertainment. Your video has been uploaded if you're interested to see it. :P 15 seconds of FAME~! My online photo album for photos and videos had not been released. I can take bribes from now on. ;)

Chan - Didn't get to know you much either, but thanks for the jokes and all...

What's left now are the beautiful memories of the island. I sincerely hope the best for everyone that was part of the trip. Will not pass a chance to have another trip with you guys again..if there was. I had a great time...despite the wait...the fun and happy memories outshone that. Okay..this will be the last part of my long-winded post on the trip. Have a good day people...

Tioman - Crystal Clear Waters (Part 4)

While waiting for the rest to reach Marine Park, I went to check out the crystal clear waters in the Marine Park...without being in the water, you could already see the fishes~! But then there were too many ppl snorkelling there that day. Jacqueline said this to the boatman as we approached the snorkelling spot.."Nanti tengok orang, bukan tengok ikan~" And we all agreed la, so we skipped this spot.

Can you see the fishes??

Too crowded la on that fine sunday..

So since it's lunch time, 4 of us decided on the good ol' RAMLEE burger~! WS and I went to buy it. There we met with this burger seller. He was very occupied that day. His wife was going around and there were customers flowing in on the hot and sunny day. He manages the whole place, from the burger stall, to the drinks stall, to the ice-cream stall and not to forget, the snorkel sets rental. Our burger took a really long time to be ready. We were there long enough to know that the price of the ice-creams he was selling. Ranging from RM1.50 to RM1.70. We were there helping him to tabulate if he needed help.

BURGER stall...

We got impatient after waiting for more than 15 minutes, we decided to get the burger ourselves. WS stood behind the stall and we DIY the burgers and wrapped it up ourselves. Haha...that was one real funny experience. Didn't capture that pic to show. Burger tasted really good btw..missing the burger although I recently found out that we were charged super expensive for it~! :p RM4.50 for a burger ayam special...I just bought one today for RM1.90. Doesn't taste as nice...

So right after when we were done transporting our liquor to our rooms, all of us changed and got ready for snorkelling session. The rest went for lunch at the restaurant.

It was a hot and sunny day. Sea was choppy and the ride on the speedboat was not that smoothsailing too, well, at least I din get seasick.Took me a while to familiarize myself back to the seawater. Always happens...considering that I don't know how to swim. :p Come to think of it, it was pretty daring for me to jump into the deep sea, tried it before in Redang long long time ago though... We went to 3 snorkelling spots. Too bad I can only remember the name of the last spot we went: Pulau Renggis. I hope someone from the trip can help me out in this. First spot has more dead corals. The second spot was nice, coz it's deep and there was Wasabi, one of the boat fella, who came down the water with the float. Haha, I got advantage from it...don't need to move myself much. It was awesome...by the time we're done, some of us are already exhausted. We proceed to Marine Park, as we see there's still a big crowd there, we took off to Pulau Renggis. Only snorkelled a while there...I was more afraid of the boats that were docked near by... Snorkelling can be quite energy-draining... after that spot, we all went to Bamboo Hill(think I heard them right.... if i'm wrong, please correct me~! ) to enjoy the fresh cooling water from the waterfall. All of us jumped in without hesitation, like small kids only...Raymond was squeaking like a girl coz it was too cold. :P We only spent like 15-20 minutes there, coz sea conditions getting bad, so we needed to get back to our jetty before sunsets. IT WAS THEN I SAW...the most amazing display of the evening sun(although with some clouds la..)...which then got my fingers all itchy to pick up my camera for some shots. My favourite pic with Shuk Yee in it:

Too bad my camera cannot capture the colours of it, but then, it was ..wow... haven't seen that before. Will always remember that...

We were then off back to our beach~ Got back to the room, took our bath and got ready for dinner. The rest was munching on kuacis and drinking beer while waiting for their turn to get their shower..Dinner was then served at 8pm.

Yuummmmyyyyy!!

Our dinner was a widespread of BBQ stuff...fishes - slices and also kembong, sotong, chicken, stingray, sausages, fried mee, fried rice, fries, coleslaw. We continue with some chatting after dinner with Fatt, YiMin, Wai Yee..enjoying some ice-cream as their desert. Wai Yee was quite entertaining la...and she's like the "tai ka che" among them. Can feel that "aura" ..hahhaa...

Night activities started at 1030pm. Think the plan was to drink and get drunk? Not sure, but then no one was drunk that night. :P We didn't really had a plan, so some decided to go on with some card games, while the rest continue chatting out at the corridor. This would be Raymond's unforgettable moment in Tioman. Not that appropriate to be shared here, but then it was one heck of a night. Not only did Raymond had the most unforgettable time, I think Fatt had never felt that "happy" too. :p We then later moved on to the beach, where we met the rest of them. Continue with some drinks. The moon was so bright that night that it shone away the stars. Beautiful night.. that night I sat by the beach and enjoyed the calmness of the night with only the sound of the waves. Emo a bit la, but then didn't want to leave the island so soon. Sat there till bout 3am I think. Then went back to the room ...

Day 3 begins...right after lunch.. :)

Tioman ~ Simply Beautiful(Part 3)

Day 2

Day 2 started off early when I woke up around 730am. Was thinking of getting the morning sea breeze...Got up, got ready and off to the beach. To my surprise, 2 guys were already at the lazy chair watching the waves as it hit the sand. YiMin and Adrian were already chatting away.

Photobucket

This was where we were staying. Missed out on taking pics of the room. It was really big and comfy for both WS and me lorr..As you open the door, you could see monkeys wandering around at that little hilly area at the back of this building.hahha...thank goodness they are not the aggresive type that just grabs your stuff and brings them back to the wild. :)

Breakfast was provided by our hotel. Everyone got up in time for breakfast...of course there's also those that find it a little difficult to get up in the morning... no names gonna be mentioned here :P So the plan for Day 2:

Morning: Breakfast, shopping at duty-free
Afternoon: Snorkelling
Night: BBQ Seafood dinner

Push said we needed to do a bit of walking to Kg Tekek to the duty-free zone. And that's exactly what we did.. :p Climbed up a couple of flight of stairs, passing through the Marine Park and walked a couple of kilometres more, and then we were there~! If you'd been to Langkawi, you can't really expect this place to be the same ya. Choices were pretty much limited. I liked the journey from our hotel to the duty-free zon. Better show some pictures before I continue on with my long-winded stories :p

So the damage done after shopping: 1 Glenfidditch, 1 red wine and 1 sparking white wine. :) Cost less than RM200 ;) We bought too many things till Push called for a van to send us back to the Marine Park. It was close to lunch time already at the time.

To be continued... need to upload the rest of the pictures.
